Crackroc vs Twist Battle – Attention to Detail 28th February

After Flo’s awesome workshop, reviewed in the previous post, I spontaneously decided to enter the battle at Attention to Detail, even though I hadn’t been training very much due to recovering from my sprained ankle.

So obviously my name came out of the hat first to battle, against Si – B-Boy Crackroc (which is spelled incorrectly in the video below, my bad).

So lets get straight to the point, here’s the qualifying battle:

As it transpired, Crackroc won and even though he got lucky hitting that beat at the end of his throwdown, he had a lot of style and different dynamics. So well done to Si…

Next time I won’t be holding back πŸ˜›

The rest of the jam was awesome as always, incredible cyphers and battles with a few bboys from Scotland there representing.

Unfortunately the next Attention to Detail jam is on 21st March when the Masterz Crew are performing at a Castleford Tigers rugby match. So we’ll be dancing around on the pitch, but you should still go check out ATD in Wakefield, it’s the best regular bboy jam ever in the Universe!

  1. Hey, were you at the UK Uni BBoy Champs in Newcastle? I think I recognise you… πŸ™‚ x

  2. Hey Beth πŸ™‚
Yeah, I was there cyphering a little! Fun times. What did you think to the jam?
Could have done with a break (pun fully intended) in the middle to get some food, luckily I brought a feast with me!
Our coach got back to Leeds Uni at about 11pm and we foolishly decided to stay out breaking in Leeds for 3 more hours. Needless to say I enjoyed my bed for the majority of Sunday πŸ˜›
How long you been b-girling for then Beth?
    Me x

  3. This is such a coincidence, I was just searching for bboy blogs and recognised your dreads!!
I had a great time, it’s the first break event I’ve ever been to – only been b-girling since I started uni in September. We didn’t stay til the end because we had a couple guys visiting from France who’d been on an exchange at our uni last term & had trained with us (you may have seen them in the solos – Norssi & Predateur) so went back to Durham to hang out with them… and do some more break of course!
Cheers for the facebook add πŸ™‚
